About Delasi
My name is Joshua Delasi Kugblenu, a Ghanaian cinematographer, media educator, and visual storyteller passionate about using film to communicate ideas, preserve culture, and spark meaningful conversations.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Motion-Picture Photography from the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI), Ghana, where I built a strong foundation in cinematography, lighting, camera movement, and visual storytelling. My work spans film, documentary, and creative visual projects, with a focus on storytelling that feels honest, intentional, and emotionally grounded.
Alongside my work as a cinematographer, I teach Media Studies, where I guide students in understanding film language, visual analysis, and practical production. Through teaching, I emphasize storytelling, critical thinking, and hands on filmmaking encouraging young creatives to use media as a tool for expression and social awareness.
Whether I’m behind the camera or in the classroom, my goal is the same: to use visuals to educate, inspire, and tell stories that matter. I believe film is both an art form and a powerful communication tool, capable of shaping perspectives and starting important conversations.
